CEWE is the Centre of Excellence for Women's Entrepreneurship - a place for enterprise development, based at the University of East London. workisnotajob. founder Catharina is part of their Patron Scheme, working as a mentor with aspiring female entrepreneurs. Main goals are to provide support to female UEL students and graduates to develop their entrepreneurial skills and support them to start up their own businesses.

hello handmade manifesto / Text and Design

hello handmade is a place for independent, handmade design and original ideas. Germany's famous handmade platform is full of DIY inspiration, celebrates handmade culture and organises an annual fair in Hamburg, Germany. We created the official hello handmade manifesto that is for everyone who makes things and supports the DIY movement. It has been made into a fabulous print and available as letterpress and screenprint poster. Available in different colours and two languages, english and German. You can grab yours from our shop!

Local Correspondents "Songs for Japan" / CD Cover Design

The musicians of Brooklyn's Local Correspondents community, compelled by the recent tragedy in Japan, created a compilation mix, available for a minimum donation of $5, with a suggested donation of $10 or more. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised will benefit the continuing global relief efforts of The American Red Cross and we designed the cover.

Hamburgs Kreativgesellschaft "Work in Progress Kongress" 2012 / Speaker


Catharina and Sophie will be speaking at the "Work in Progress" Congress organised by Hamburg Kreativ-gesellschaft. Cathi has been invited to be part of a panel about dreams vs. work and will be speaking about her "work is not a job" - philosophy and discussing the future of work. Sophie will be part of a panel about the DIY revolution and handmade economy as an alternative to mass production and oportunity to rethink consumerism.

Girls Who Rock Benefit Concert 2011 / Design

GIRLS WHO ROCK is an annual concert in NYC that aims to bring together the strongest voices in technology, entertainment, and design to advocate and fundraise for girls’ education worldwide. We created the official 2011 Concert Invite, Save The Date and other promotional materials like banner, flyers and Twitter background and are glad to be working with such amazing women who help to raise awareness and money for this important cause.

We've been chosen to contribute the official Etsy Twitter background for the month of September 2011. Each month Etsy's Twitter profile will be re-designed by an emerging, new artist and the design will be made available as a free wallpaper download on your mobile device. UpStart / Poster Design

UpStart is a non-profit arts collective which aims to put creativity at the centre of public consciousness during the Irish General Election Campaign in 2011. They did this by reinterpreting the spaces commonly used for displaying election campaign posters in Dublin City. We contributed a Poster that was hung in two different locations in Dublin, Ireland.
